Growing up I've always had a creative mind. This drive to create led me to dive into many different creative activities. First I was introduced to playing music in elementary school, where we were taught to read sheet music and play flute recorder. I quickly fell in love with music and discovered the passion I had for it. Growing up my dad always had instruments around the house. With this new passion I decided to follow in his foot steps by learning to play guitar, piano, and ukulele. With this foundation, learning other instruments became really easy. In middle school I learned clarinet and baritone saxophone. I was first chair and helped lead my fellow students to help them grow! In high school I started to pick up, my soon to be primary instrument, the bass. Sophomore year I became a saxophone captain in the marching band. I helped my section with my newly forming leadership skills. I also became part of the band cabinet, I was first chair in many of the band, I was also the bands sound engineer, and I lead and organized the jazz combo band.
My next big passion stemmed from playing bass and guitar. These two instruments use an amplifier that had knobs that allowed me to completely change my tone. I began playing bass for the worship band, and grew curious of the sound board and how all of it works. I began watching hours worth of videos and asking my mentors as many questions as I could. Before I knew it, I started to run sound for the church's high school group. After about a year of continuous learning, I became the churches head Audio Visual technician. I learned many things, like how to use complex sound boards and how to set up and utilize them. I learned how to set up and organize a stage and broadcast environment. I learned about lighting, how to program shows, how to set up dmx and lights, and different programs.
My most recent passion is videography. A big part of AV is the visual and cameras were new to me. I took a film class senior year and learned how similar video and sound are. I also learned about the many storytelling techniques that go into film. I got my own professional camera from my other mentor and began filming everything I could. Since I was working at the church as the AV technician I made many event recap videos for the church. I knew I was given these gifts for a reason so I decided to create my own business. With so many passions it's hard to choose just one, with this business I'm able to keep all of my passions alive. Thank you for getting to know a little about me, now let’s create something amazing together. Feel free to explore my portfolio and use the service page to discuss your next project!
